There has been a wide range and variety of holidays and events organised by members over the years ranging from meeting up in the local park to 2 months travelling through Australia.

Holidays abroad

Examples of recent holidays that SPTC members have enjoyed were:

Skiing in Bulgaria

Holidays & short breaks in the UK

In the UK there are usually summer holidays including camping, staying at a university, holiday camps or in Youth hostels. (youth hostels today are very family friendly and nothing like you may remember of yesteryear!) There are usually breaks at New Year and during school half-term holidays.

AGM

The AGM at the end of May is combined with a weekend away and normally over 80 adults and children stay in a youth hostel in different areas of the UK each year with another 20+ families camping nearby some of whom turn it into a week’s camping holiday.

Day trips

In many areas there are established local groups who are looking for new members to join in and help organise regular outings. Examples of day trips held recently include ten-pin bowling, days out in London, swimming and visits to local attractions. There are often trips organised to Legoland, Alton Towers and Cardiff Millennium Stadium.

All these holidays and days out are just to give you an idea of things that have been organised by members over the years and there are many more but there is just not the room to list them all. Once you are a member the possibilities are endless! The world is your oyster!
